From one commercial fisherman to another…

Jordyn, Molly, and Andrew formed the Salty Sirens Club in honor of all the generations of fishermen and fishing businesses that don't have the time or bandwidth to do marketing. Coming from commercial fishing families ourselves, we understand the unique culture and struggles that is fishing. We understand that marketing takes a lot of time and dedication that is often lacking in fishing businesses. We created Salty Sirens Club to amplify the impact that fishing businesses have on the local economy and boost consumer awareness of locally caught seafood. We do the marketing so you can get back to doing what you do best, fishing.

We provide seafood marketing strategy to businesses, nonprofits, and communities. We can provide that much needed capacity to expand philanthropic donations to your nonprofit, grant acquisition, budget development, program development, and policy analysis.

Need marketing help directly? Salty Sirens Club provides a full suite of marketing tools to help expand your fishing business including social media management and design, community outreach programming, consumer education, and newsletter development and design. We offer multimedia design services that capture the very essence of your fishing business through still photography, graphic design, videography, and aerial drone footage.

Molly grew up in Alaska, and was only nine months old the first time she went on her family’s boat. Her great-grandfather started the family legacy fishing for salmon on a commercial setnet site in the 1930’s and most of her family thereafter followed suit. Molly grew up fishing throughout her childhood and worked summers as a deckhand when she turned sixteen, making her a fourth generation commercial fisherman. After fifteen years of executive level leadership, a Juris Doctor, and a Master of Marine Affairs, Molly is the chief fisheries marketing strategist for the Salty Sirens Club. She has crafted successful grassroots and marketing campaigns around the country and has significant experience in state budgeting, process improvement, philanthropy, grant acquisition, and strategic marketing campaigns.

Andrew is a tenured digital media producer and photojournalist born and raised on the south shore of Massachusetts with a degree in photography. Andrew began his journey as a photographer in high school capturing images of his fellow classmates at concerts in the Boston area. After seventeen years of experience,  he is now a senior digital media producer for the Rhode Island Seafood Marketing Collaborative capturing thousands of images and video clips that feature fishermen, fishing businesses, and the working waterfront. He has built a portfolio featuring a wide array of subjects from lifestyle and editorial, to food and product photography. After being invited to capture imagery on his first trawl survey, he was immediately drawn to the raw grit only found on a commercial fishing vessel. His favorite images are those that capture the wild perspective of the hard work and labor found only on a working boat; the kinds of images that make you feel the brisk seafoam and icy winds on a cloudy winter harvest day, or the dirt caked on a well worn pair of Grundéns after days out at sea.
